This is a mime workshop featuring narrative replay, physical representation and figurative mime. It uses elements developed by Augusto Boal and Jacques lecoq.
This is our general introduction to the language of theatre mime or 'Gesture'-we start with universal gestures and play with cartoons and traditional theatre forms such as pantomime, commedia and silent films. This workshop would support any physical theatre study area or work on Brecht.
Versions of our practitioner workshops are available for GCSE, A level, BTEC and degree level students. We have introductory workshops on the following practitioners: BRECHT, STANISLAVSKI, ARTUAD, GROWTOWSKI, LECOQ, BOAL
-They are all practical, rehearsal activity based workshops and we can combine them with a text that you are studying or explore the text using that practitioners methods.
